Plan A Visit

Sunday Experience

The Mt. Carmel experience starts at 9 am with hot coffee in the Sanctuary lobby followed by Life Groups at 9:30 am in various rooms and then the Worship service at 10:45 am in the central Sanctuary.

While our building faces Kenwood Rd., the parking lot and the main entrance are at the back of the building (driveway on Kenwood Rd. or off of Sycamore Rd.). Enter through the central doors (under the portico), then visit the Welcome Wall in the Sanctuary lobby to learn about Life Group locations for all ages (9:30 am) or walk straight ahead for the service (10:45 am).

Each portion of the morning points to God and his Word and emphasizes how his people can impact the world for Christ.

Kids

The Children’s and Family Ministry, led by Mitch Casson, partners with families in passing on a spiritual legacy to the kids and creating a love and passion for the Lord.

Each week, Mt. Carmel offers Life Groups (Sunday School) at 9:30 am which emphasize God-centered, child-friendly teaching and activities.

Preschool Life Groups are located on the first floor next to the nursery area. Elementary Life Groups (Grades K-6) are located on the second floor.

Children must be signed in by their parents or guardians at the south entrance by Sycamore Rd.

Throughout the year, kids can experience Family Fun Nights, Vacation Bible School, Camp Cedarmore and special events.

Youth

The Student Ministry, led by Jeff Prince, provides students in grades 7-12 with an opportunity to worship the one true God, mature through studying God’s Word, and serve others to put their faith into action. Student Ministry challenges students in their relationship with Christ and how it connects at home, school, and in the community.

Sunday Morning Life Group
A light breakfast is available from 9-9:30 am in the Student Center on the second floor on the north side of the building. At 9:30 am, we explore God’s Word with a group lesson, then break into small discussion groups to examine how it applies to the lives of students.

Mt. Carmel offers multiple Life Groups (Sunday School) for adults on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am before the service at 10:45 am. If you are new, just ask the greeters to recommend a group for you. Life Groups foster deep relationships with others, and open the door for discussion during the Bible-based lessons.

Weekly Bible studies are also available on Tuesday nights at 7 pm for women and Thursday mornings at 11:30 am for men.

Adults and families have the opportunity to serve together monthly at Matthew 25 Ministries (pictured) and City Gospel Mission.

For a lighthearted time, consider Night Club, which meets the second Friday of each month at 6 pm. Everyone brings something to share for dinner, then the games begin! Dominoes are a popular choice.
