Operation Christmas Child
The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations. Mt Carmel is a proud participant in this worthy worldwide mission. We also serve as the local distribution center for our area.
2024 Campaign - October 13 - November 25
The 2024 Campaign is complete!
An enormous number of thank you’s to all the people that worked, packed, baked, cooked, prayed, greeted, transported, shopped, collected, and worked to make Operation Christmas Child a wonderful accomplishment at Mt Carmel Baptist Church as we served as an area drop-off center!
At the drop off center we had:
- 37 volunteers!
- 348 hours of work!
- 2973 shoeboxes brought in!
- 197 cartons packed!
- 554 shoeboxes collected from Mt Carmel!
So many people will hear about the love of Jesus Christ through this ministry!
Update: We have learned that the shoeboxes from our church went to Ecuador, Chile, Peru, and Guinea. Please continue to pray for the children, the families and the communities that will receive our shoeboxes.
