Women's Ministry
The Mt. Carmel Baptist Women’s Ministry helps develop spiritual growth and encouragement through Bible Study, fellowship opportunities, service to the community and support to the women of the congregation. It focuses on four core pillars: Study, Serve, Support, and Social.
Here is a list of just some of the things our Women's Ministry does here at Mt Carmel throughout the year (THEY DO A LOT!):
- Support Life Forward through special offerings, gifts, and attendance at their yearly fundraising banquet
- Support the Abundant Life Church by providing items for their free yard sale.
- Support VBS by preparing food snacks
- Support the surrounding area police departments by writing cards of encouragement
- Write cards throughout the year to church members who are homebound
- Support the Deer Park Schools by hosting coat drives and any other needs they have
- Work on special projects and crafts throughout the year for OCC
- Provide Mother’s Day flowers for all ladies of the church
- Host women potluck dinners multiple times throughout the year
- Host a church-wide breakfast twice a year
- Host craft tables at both the Easter Egg Hunt and Fall Festival
- Host bridal and baby showers for church members
- Host a Secret Sister Santa exchange each Christmas
